John A Patten Recreation Center hosted the 6th Annual Sanctified Slam on Friday, December 1, 2006 at 7:00 PM.

The Sanctified Slam is two things: it is a specific type of poetry contest and it is exclusively Christian. This exciting type of poetry contest has grown tremendously since the first poetry slam was held in 1986 by the Chicago poet, Marc Smith.
